Title: If you can't send PMs, do you have to make a thread under S&Q about it?
Post by: tolbs17 on March 18, 2021, 04:30:01 PM
This is an honest question. Some users have PM'd me and I was unable to answer back. So this is why I'm asking this question.

If you can't send PMs, contact them through some way other than using the forum, such as email.

That's what I normally do, but not everyone has them

Unfortunately that is an administrative decision.

Do you literally not have the option to send a pm?

Do you literally not have the option to send a pm?

(I think he lost the ability to send PM's because he abused it. See the link above from 1995hoo for some more context.)

yes. It's gone

Used to have the ability to send them but I raged out of spite in anger.

I can't remember what I said to others that caused me to lose it, it's been over a year and there's no way to check.

Answer to the OP:  No.  You never have to make any thread.  Doing nothing is an option.

So you brought it on yourself.  Consequences happen.

Their loss for not including anything else in their profile, then, I guess.  Maybe they're OK with that (I am), maybe they're not.

I'm pretty sure yes. I'm not gonna bring that up again. I found ways to get attention from others

If it's good enough for the Cherokee County, Georgia sheriff, it's good enough for here?
Yes.

This more or less sums it up to the point I'm willing to endorse it as being the official answer—I don't think there's much reason to continue the thread.
