Abandoned bridge near Hemet

I recently went on a motorcycle ride to inspect a bridge I found off of Hwy 74 east of Hemet. It is an old arch bridge, with one span left, at the San Jacinto River. I posted some photos on my travel blog.

Does anyone know anything about this, other than it was bypassed in 1929?
