Road Meets: An Illustrated History, 1999-2024 --> Book/Photo Album Release!

I'm pleased to announce the completion and upcoming release date for "Road Meets: An Illustrated History, 1999-2024". To be released on May 11, this book is the culmination of the "History of Road Meets" project that's been a work in progress for much of the last six months. The book was assembled as part of the long-term research that was done to uncover as many meet photos as possible while also verifying the occurence of these events over the years.

The release on May 11 will include three related components:
1. A pdf release of "Road Meets: An Illustrated History" that will be available for viewing and download.
2. An additional pdf that simply features the list of road meets over the last 25 years that formed a basis for the accompanying book.
3. A link will be provided to a photo album on Flickr that is home to all of the meet photos I've been able to gather as part of this project. Some of these photos did not make their way into the final book, but all are included in this photo album.

The book will be available as a pdf, but that doesn't mean you have to keep it that way! Once you download the pdf copy, it won't be difficult to do a full print-out of the 178-page book if you so choose. However you choose to view it, I hope it's something you folks find useful and enjoyable, and I'm excited to be bringing the final product to you folks soon.

As a companion piece to mark the release of "Road Meets, An Illustrated History, 1999-2024" on Saturday, May 11, I will be hosting a live Webinar/Discussion about the book and its related projects on the roadwaywiz YouTube channel on that afternoon, beginning at 5 PM ET. It'll be your opportunity to have your questions about the project answered in an informal setting and you'll also get to learn more about the in's and out's of the research that went into this project and book. We'll also be discussing some of the trends that were discovered when it comes to the statistics of these events over the years, so it should be a fun little way to cap off the last six months of work!

I'm pleased to announce the release of "Road Meets: An Illustrated History, 1999-2024", a 180-page book that chronicles the history of these  events from their humble beginnings 25 years ago up to the present. My thanks go out to Adam Prince for contributing the Foreword for this book, and to those who assisted in the research and assembly of what became the final product! Finally, a link to Paul Dienhart's "History of Road Meets" map is already provided in the appendices of the book, but here is an additional link to that map for those interested. The map places all of the locations of these events over the years onto an interactive page where folks and view each event separately and see the larger trends in their locations over the years.
