Illinois Road Videos 2.0
« on: August 13, 2022, 10:52:14 AM »

As stated elsewhere on this forum and in a previous thread on this topic until it was closed due to excessive derailment. My YouTube channel showcases roads and scenic drives throughout Illinois. Here's my latest video on that topic:

Other such videos are:

And

With upcoming releases such as

- the Illinois branch of the Lake Michigan Circle Tour
- a Stretch of the Great River Road from Red Bud to Granite City
-US20 from Elizabeth to the end of the Freeport Bypass
-IL71 from outside of Ottawa to Oswego

Some future filmings include  the Chicago Boulevard System and a section of the Great River Road from Grafton to Hardin.

I would like for this thread to remain on topic.

Some genuine constructive and non-sarcastic criticism: I would invest a bit of time into creating custom thumbnails for your videos. They would go a long way in helping convey exactly where you drive in the video and possibly generate more clicks. They don't need to be the most professional looking things ever, but just something simple, like a route shield and some text.

Yeah I've made a couple. I'll go back and do more.

New video now live which features the Illinois branch of the Lake Michigan Circle Tour. However only the section that was known as Illinois 42 is spotlighted... This is due to the construction along Illinois 137 at the time so it will be left for a future filming

If you want to see that IL137 section...for now watch a video I released back in 2016

Fall reshoot of the stretch of the Great River Road from Alton to Grafton is now up. Proves that Illinois is also a viable tourist destination in the fall

I drive down the historic and unmarked alignment of Illinois Route 1 in this video.
