It's quite the impressive feat of engineering...I knew people in college who studied abroad in Copenhagen, and I've been wanting to find a reason to go check it out ever since.

Anyways, I guess it's my turn now (borrowing from the interwebs):

"Now, what if da Bearss were to enter the Indianapolis 5-hunnert?"
"How would they compete?"
"Let's say they rode together in a big buss."
"Is Ditka driving?"
"Of course!"
"Then I like da Bear buss."
"DA BEARSSS BUSSSS"

I know where that is, but I won't respond unless nobody else gets it in the next 24 hours because I think someone else deserves a chance.

US-12 bridge over the Sastop River in Sastop?
That one looks like a dual tied arch. Here's another hint: It's north of the border and on a route that is nominally east-west but is strictly north-south as it begins.

Well if we're going by the rules, don't forget we skipped MCRoads.

Good point. I'll defer to MCRoads in posting the next picture, then.
Well index can't be bothered to respond, so I say we just move on. No reason why this thread should be held up by one person not responding.
I don't see a need to be so irate over this, not everyone constantly checks replies to their stuff. I have a life. This is a niche forum, not social media, things can wait some hours. I don't have any real reason to log on and check things multiple times a day considering the pace of things here. I second what webny is saying:

QuoteAs this situation points up, it doesn't make sense to require confirmation from the person that posted the photo, since there's no commitment to be here and people come and go on their own time. Unless anyone has a better idea, my suggestion would be that from now on, anyone can verify a correct answer.

Oh, that wasn't really taking a swipe at you or directed to you, you just ended up in the quote chain. I just get kind of irked when people do that type of stuff, you didn't draw the ire of me though.

Yeah, I understand that. Looking at the times when you post (1:00 AM, 4:30 AM) strongly suggests to me you're on a very different schedule from many of us and thus you should not be expected to reply during the day!

I knew it too.  But I was in the same boat as you.

That style of bridge is a favorite of mine.  Like this one too (also on US 40).  I hope this one gets rehabbed too:

Oh, that's a pretty picture. I hope it gets rehabbed too, but at the same time, I like the color now (I'm guessing it is just old concrete), it fits very well with the landscape.

Correct!

Side note: I appreciated the effort MDOT SHA made to preserve the historic look when it received an extensive rehab in 2012.  The temporary bridges used during construction were pretty impressive too.

This one is very small, but I think there are enough clues in the picture so as not to make it impossibly difficult. I haven't cropped anything because I figured I should keep the other clues visible.

You are correct, and the Street View link you posted is from almost exactly the same place where I took the photo (I just zoomed in more). We had walked down that way hoping to go into Uspenski Cathedral up on the hill to the right, but the cathedral was closed.

Here is my submission:

Just so this isn't impossible, I'll give you a few hints:

1. If you have driven on I-85 in NC, you have probably been close to it. I myself have been on that road, but didn't stop to see it.
2. You may have seen this bridge before, but maybe not in person. I know I have!
3. My final hint: it is notorious for being able to constantly do something, even after several modifications ...

Wow, good job! Bonus points if you know what the bridges hight is now (it was recently raised, but it hasn't stopped opening cans, lol).

Because I will be in an area with no service for a while, someone who hasn't already posted a bridge may now do so. I want to keep the game going..

Heh, I've driven under that bridge many times because I lived a short distance away during my three years at Duke. Passing under that bridge was the best route back to the Durham Freeway after a visit to one of the pubs in that area.

Bridge over the Gasconade River near Hazelgreen, Missouri?

(If I'm right, give me a few hours to post a new entry. My PC isn't turned on and I haven't looked to see if I have any good pictures on my iPad.)

Correct. This old bridge was actually supposed to be demolished a month ago. However, new public interest in saving the bridge has led to the project being put on hold. I was on my way to the St. Francois Mountain region of MO and figured I would visit it on my way there, before it was too late.

1995hoo

If someone else wants to post a picture, by all means go ahead. I don't feel like going upstairs and turning on my PC on Saturday afternoon. I know what picture I was going to post, but it's not on any of my mobile devices.
