New to the forum. Thought i'd say hi!
I'm just about in the center of NY near Rome. Been here almost all my life. Always has a fascination with roads and especially traffic signals.
Have quite a few hanging in the basement, a couple in the living room & in the yard. Fan of the old ones. Thanks for having me here.

Welcome from a fellow upstate New Yorker!
Dig the collection in the photo. I do hope they're hooked up to a controller!
I've got a few controllers running the show. Some mechanical and some of the new circuit board ones.
If you follow the link in my signature and you'll see them all.
Welcome from a West Virginian, who spent 15 years in Upstate NY...one county over from your home, Herkimer County
Welcome. I love the collection! I myself want to expand my signal collection (consisting of one lone signal) but I wouldn't be able too, those things take up way too much space. I don't go there much but if you're looking for a place to discuss signals, and you haven't heard of it already, Highway Divides is also a good place.
Thanks!! Luckily I have a big basement with high ceilings and a huge yard. I'll fill.them both up someday hopefully.
I've been a member of Highway Divides for quite a while. Good bunch there.
Welcome from Delaware!
Those pictures are awesome, did you do the wiring your self?
You'll feel right at home here.

With a little trial and error and a couple ZAPS, yeah I wired everything up myself.
Everything with the exception of a few, the wiring was all intact so just made sure
it was ok and hooked it up to a controller of some kind.
Welcome from Wisconsin. I'm also relatively new here.
Nice traffic lights! I just have a blinking left turn signal in the garage.

How much electricity does one traffic signal use? Id assume if you have one on it would be a rather costly expensive. let alone, 36

I'm not sure how much electricity they use. I've got LED bulbs in them all for the most part & i've got solar panels on the roof.
So they're powered by the sun pretty much.
Hi. I collect old roadmaps and I think that there are sign collectors here as well. How did you get into collecting? I think what got me into maps was my finding out about proposed highways in my home state of Connecticut that were never built.
Welcome!

Greetings from the state of Georgia!
That is a sweet collection you've got there! Unfortunately I do not have any traffic signals in my collection of road-related stuff, but hopefully I may be able to add some in the future.
We give you a warm welcome, and I am looking forward to seeing you around on the forum.
Welcome from Northern Kentucky! And I am a Syracuse-area native (as you can tell from my avatar and profile). Go Orange!
Thanks all for the welcome!
Hello! And a very impressive collection you have there.
I have 2 traffic lights and a walk/don't walk sign. Utilizing www.Lightorama.com 's equipment that I use for my Christmas light display, I plug in each light to a different channel, and then program it via my computer to work as if it were lights at an intersection. When I set it up again this summer I'll try to take a little video of it.
Welcome!
