I take it you're treating all three variations of Louisiana shields (green-on-white, white-on-black, and BGS) as the same? (That's not how I would interpret the spirit of the game.)

I say the play is good, as it matches the shield in the previous photo.

The idea is that the meaning of the sign (in this case, Louisiana state route) matters more than the design itself. I made an exception for the circle shields from various states because they are literally the same signs (and because you can't always tell which state it's from).

Out of curiosity...  Are there any states that use true ovals for 3-digit state route markers?  Kentucky doesn't actually use one.
Keep right except to pass.  Yes.  You.
Visit scenic Orleans County, NY!

I think Mississippi does.

Kentucky uses about four different shapes for wide markers, including ovals. If you're so inclined, you can see just about every variation of them on my most recent Flickr entries from my home state.

We can't hit 200 without including some representation of MSR 200.  Here's Minnesota 200 near the entrance to Lake Itasca State Park, where you can wade across the Mississippi River.  July 12, 2003.

On the MSR theme, here's either ND-200 or MT-200, as depicted by the members of my sign collection. (Doesn't have to be signs in the field, does it?)

Staying with Florida state route markers (since we might've run out of route 200 photos in other states/provinces -- though we don't have at least California, Idaho, or Manitoba 200 covered), a badly faded FL 5 marker:
