44 miles → 103 miles → Nebraska 103. At the roundabout with US-6, May 10, 2018.

Unless I misunderstand, I don't think 44 miles to 103 miles is a valid play, since it would have to be a different mileage to "Santa Rosa".

If that's the rule (which it might be, and you might be right), that's being needlessly nitpicky.

Distances only qualify to change Mileage if it is the same Destination name on the Distance/Destination signage - ie Distance signs to different Springfields would still be acceptable, as long as it is not specified which Springfield

Theory being, I believe, that each Destination and Distance is a specific Sign Element

If they were the same Sign Element, most Distance/Destination signage would Disqualify, as there would be more than one number in that Sign Element

You're only proving my point that these rules are needlessly complex. Why can't they just be generalized as distance mileages?

I'll let the OP address that...as he wrote the rules

A few rules have been clarified or changed as the game has progressed. Perhaps this is another potential?

The play is not allowed.

QuoteA distance sign or sign element, such as "Alexandria 7", has the relevant sign element as the city name and number, not just the number.

There will always be a few ambiguous situations in this type of game, especially since I'm not restricting the game to route shields.

Fine. Just note that I'm removing my post under protest of what I consider to be an arbitrary distinction.
