How did that happen? Circles for US, TN primary and TN secondary routes all three?

Interestingly, all the Tennessee state highway shields are circles on Natchez Trace Parkway. I think the one state route shield for Alabama was, as well.

Of course, they work fine for the Mississippi portion of the route.

Color is not an automatic match. What I was saying is that color can exclude yellow vs. white speed limit signs.
