Now that I think of it, "Old Exit #" signs seem to be much more common in Florida and Pennsylvania, and rarely elsewhere. I wonder if Massachusetts will use them for their recent exit renumbering.

Edit: Bob Malme's site shows that the Exit sign at the gore point will have a supplemental Old Exit sign.

They're starting to disappear in Florida as most of the renumbering projects ended almost twenty years ago.
