^ I thought I might have an I-238 in my photo inventory, but no joy. The last time I was out there, photographing route markers, I turned north on I-680 from I-580, rather than stay on 580 to the I-238/CA 238 junction.

LA 82 is a lonely route, isn't it?

It's 6.1 miles to the Mermentau River crossing, which seems to be a smaller bridge than the more substantial one 61 miles away over the Old Intracoastal Canal between Lake Charles and Abbeville.

Street View shows the Old Intracoastal Canal as having a 20/35T rating.
