Just snowed pretty hard for a couple of hours. Now my street and driveway are already melted.

Temps will drop sixty degrees (high of 83 to a low of 23) within the span of 15 hours.

Tomorrow is supposed to be the first day since last Monday with a high temp of less than 60°F.  It's currently 79°F, but the wind has picked up to 20 mph and should increase to 30 mph this evening—and coming from the north by then.  Tonight's low is forecast to be 21°F.

Just saw on the news that this caused a ground stop at DEN and both I-70 and Pena were closed.

I just returned from my usual afternoon walk.  It was very difficult to step into the headwind while traversing exposed ground.  Even the eddy currents in the lee of houses were shoving me along.

We got put under a tornado warning last night around 9pm for radar indicated rotation just 2 miles west of us. There is no indication that anything ever touched down, though there were several that did earlier in the evening in north central Illinois.

I walked to the dentist at 10:30am and it was mostly clear skies and 12C (54F), though I could see dark clouds coming from the west. Walking home an hour later, it was cloudy, windy, and a cold 2C (36F). Thankfully it's a short walk because I was underdressed for the walk home!

jlam

50 degrees, mostly sunny, and no wind. It finally calmed down after a couple of miserable days.

Flint1979

About 20 with a wind chill of 10. I'm happy I came home last night when I did because a tornado touched down in Grand Blanc. It was pouring down rain when I went through there.

It was only 3C (37F) when I left for work, but the high will be a shocking 17C (63F) this afternoon, with a mix of sun and clouds. What a way to start March!

Well, that probably means we'll get a big snowstorm or two near the end of the month.  :sombrero:

Well, Punxsutawney Phil did predict an early Spring this year.  So, considering his accuracy over the last half-century has been about 1 for 3, I shouldn't doubt a coming snowstorm or two.  This is confirmed by the fact that he rarely predicts an early Spring and, when he does so, he's right approximately half the time.

Wiarton Willie predicted an early Spring too, though his accuracy is also questionable. :-D

This week highs in the 50s all week long. One bit of snow overnight, which seems to have been the norm lately. Most, if not all, is melted by the time I go outside for the first time.

That said, the mountains have been getting a decent amount of snow, which is great for the ski industry and for fire prevention, etc.

NWI_Irish96

SPC only had a marginal risk for today, but there have already been several Severe T-Storm warnings in IL/WI and now there's a tornado warning for Rock County, WI.

Only radar indicated at this point, no confirmation of a tornado on the ground.

Now you're just making stuff up.

Today is another gorgeous day, high of 10C (50F) and sunny. So far it looks like the groundhogs are right about early spring! :)

hotdogPi

This entire winter season, our lowest high was 20°F.

It's in the 40s right now, which feels on the colder side but is still a degree or two above the historical average.
