Madera County Road 211 is an approximately eight-mile highway located in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains north of Lake Millerton.  Road 211 connects the community of O'Neals at Road 200 south to Road 145 near the former Minarets & Western Railway siding of Bellview.  What is now Road 211 was constructed as a stage road during the California Gold Rush era which connected the original Fresno County seat of Millerton to the Fine Gold Gulch Mine District.

So I saw another I-11 sign assembly on current 515. It is between Russell Road (65) and Galleria (64B) going southbound. I pointed it out to my wife and she said the shield can be changed to 11 but Vegas people will call it 95 regardless (she's from Vegas).

Nice! That one wasn't there on March 17 when I was last in the area.

That's an unfortunate weakness of the style of representative democracy that the US has; legislators really can only be ever held accountable by the people of their district, since that's who says whether they stay or go. In most places, everyone looking out for their own district would tend to balance things out and mean that the state as a whole gets looked after. But it's hard to make that model work well when so much of the population is centralized. (Especially in the particularly odd situation that Nevada has—in most other states the outlying areas feed resources of some kind, usually food, into the dominant city, so there's an added incentive to look out for the whole state. But that's not the relationship Las Vegas has with Nevada.)

As of this evening, NDOT has made the internal change to redesignate I-515 and US 95 up to Kyle Canyon Road as I-11. This change was previously approved by the feds, so nothing unheard of there.

Is there any publicly-available documentation of this change?

NDOT GIS, specifically the road ownership layer. I can provide a link later.
