  Bella Vista Bypass  Ribbon Cutting  (https://www.arkansasonline.com/news/2021/aug/19/september-ribbon-cutting-set-for-opening-of-the/?utm_campaign=snd-autopilot&utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter_)  will be September 30 at the Arkansas-Missouri State Line. :cheers:

”Missouri awarded a $58.7 million contract April 1 to Sapp & Sons to build the final 5 miles of I-49 between Pineville and the state line in McDonald County. Work started May 11 with completion expected by Sept. 30.”

Done in 4 months? Really?

That was my initial thought, but I just checked the MDOT site and it indeed says 9/30/21:

No… construction began in April 2020.

That’s what he means by “bad news reporting”.



Also, shouldn’t this thread be merged with the main I-49 thread?
