US 89

Finally got around to uploading these:

Other end of 13, at I-15 west of Plymouth

SR 38 in Collinston, at SR 30

SR 81 in Fielding

The other end of SR 81, at SR 30 just outside of Riverside

SR 82 at SR 13, just outside of Garland

SR 90 in Brigham City, at SR 13

SR 102 in Deweyville, at SR 38

Other end of 102, at SR 83 in rural Box Elder County

SR 240 at I-15, just west of Honeyville

The other end of SR 240, at SR 38 in Honeyville

OH 39's east end is kind of interesting, as it takes over OH 7's place in the role of road paralleling the Ohio River for a short east-west jaunt that takes it to an endpoint just 0.2 miles north of the underwater OH-PA-WV tri point.

However, 155 miles to the west, the other end of 39 just kind of randomly fizzles out on 3 digit route in a middle of nowhere corner of Crawford County.

Here's a few from a recent trip up to Idaho:

US 91 in Idaho Falls

Bus. US 20, also in Idaho Falls

BL-15 north of Inkom

BL-86 and SH 39 east of American Falls

SH 40 in Downey

My observation is that NDOT posts "Begin" and "End" most of the time but not always, maybe 75-80%.  Nevada is also a good place to add some high numbers to your collection, so here are a few from a bike ride in Smith Valley in Lyon County.

The middle one is at a triangular intersection with NV 824 connecting to NV 208 on both sides of that firehouse.  The NV 825 one is typical of spur roads with the Begin and End mounted on opposite sides of the same post.  The other end of ~0.4-mile-long NV 825, at the Smith Valley school, is an example of a place where there's neither a Begin nor an End.

I came back from spending five days in southeast Minnesota on Friday, and here's three END signs I managed to find. I visited several other route termini, too, but it seems this region of the state isn't as big on END markers as other parts.

END MN-105 as it approaches the Iowa state line. The road continues into Iowa as a county road. The north end of 105 in Austin did not have an END marker posted.

Full size picture here.

The east END of MN-80 in Fountain. The west end at MN-16 south of Wykoff did not have an END sign.

Full size picture here.

The west END of MN-248 in Altura. The east end at US-61 did not have an END sign.

From a recent trip out to Great Basin National Park:

SR 36 at Silver City, UT

SR 159 near Border, UT

SR 488 at Great Basin National Park, NV

The Wilmington, NC, area is home to 4 ends of US highways.  I went to all four of them, and two of the signs were missing.

Some new ends I photographed yesterday!

MN-37's eastern end in Gilbert.

Full size picture here.

West end of MN-169, approaching the US-53 interchange. MN-169 largely runs east/west but is signed north/south like its US Route counterpart.

Full size picture here.

The JCT and END MN-135 assembly is quite far from the edge of the road on 135's northern terminus in Tower. The southern end of MN-135 at the new US-53 interchange did not have an END sign.

Full size picture here.

The east end of MN-169, which turns into Lake County 18.

Full size picture here.

And lastly, the east end of MN-1 near the shore of Lake Superior.

Unrelated to the thread, but related to the above comment, there are a few BGSs in the Denver area that are losing their shields. This one at the beginning of I-270.

formulanone

Yeah, after two recent trips to the Denver area, I noticed a lot of the guide signs have shields and text which are peeling/chipping.
