IL: IDOT to shut down section of I-255 for 6 months starting 2/1

IDOT is going to close I-255 between IL 157 and IL 15 for 6 months starting February 1.

Closing the 3 1/2-mile stretch will allow the needed resurfacing work to be done in far less time - about a year and a half less - than keeping it open.

This is the Michigan Method (patent pending).  In the long run, it's the best option.

IDOT previously did this with 255 between 64 and 15, so not that surprising

^ Except the last time I-55 on the Missouri side did not have multiple bridges being rehabbed with two or more lanes closed for both directions.
