If you are over 6 feet, you will want a Honda Accord, Toyota Camry, or Toyota Avalon. Or other mid/full-size cars.

6'4".  I drive a Nissan Altima and a Chevy Cobalt.

This thread reminds me of a joke told by Rich Hall in the early 1980's.
He said fairly tall people, when asked how tall they are, say, for example, oh 6'1", 6'2".
A short person, when asked, will say "Five foot one and five eighths".
I don't need a GPS.  I AM the GPS! (for family and friends)

Great. a Nissan Altima is not bad! I mean I can fit comfortably in a Nissan Versa. In a Versa, I fit just fine, and when I get in to the back seat, I feel a little cramped but it's okay. I hit the roof so that's not a good choice for me.

My brother is 6'1'' and he has a Toyota Corolla and he loves it. I don't get why he loves it. Maybe he likes small cars!

I used to have a Ford Escort (late 1990's) and, wait for it, a GEO Metro (mid 1990's).  Fit well in both of them.

That's nice because when I got in a 1994 Honda Accord, I fit fine in it. When I got in a 2019 Hyundai Elantra I was cramped. I have fun driving a 2013 Acura TSX!

Was it you sitting only in the front seat or in the backseat too?

Also, I've not really been in a lot of old cars so i can't really think of a small one that i have been in that i fit fine in. I'm only 17 years old.

I'm about 5'6, which is a few/several inches taller than my mother, and a couple inches shorter than my sister. My father, on the other hand, is 6'3.

index

Last I measured I found out I was actually 5'10.50 - 5'10.75 (I'm only ever measured when I go to a doctor's visit where the measurements are always slightly different, hence me including the to). I just round to 5'11. This makes me the shortest male in my family, at this point everyone is above 6'1 (except my twin brother who is 6'). I stopped getting taller when I was 14 so I don't see that changing.
I love my 2010 Ford Explorer.

I'm over 6 feet, and I've never had any problems in any vehicle other than small pickups.

I did have the seats as far back as they could go.  Fortunately, my kids were 6 and 7 then and did not require much leg room.
Also, when I was 17, I drove a 1974 dark brown Ford LTD with a white hard-top roof.  Owned that car for six years.

Once you are about 12 or 13 or so, maybe 10, you will need to get a bigger car for more leg room. People under 7 pretty much don't require a lot of legroom.

That's a myth that people who drove Mini-Vans and Station Wagons perpetuated.  That mind set has carried over to CUVS today.

Also, depends on your family size.  We have many kids so we needed an suv. if you only have 1-2 kids you will only need a sedan. Maybe even a subcompact or just compact.

Legroom has had very little to do with our family's car purchases.  We are a family of five, and we take (nearly) annual mission trips to Mexico, wherein we are typically hauling a lot (A LOT**) of stuff, bringing other people in our car, and sometimes driving on rough desert roads.  A third-generation (2005-2012) Nissan Pathfinder fits the bill for us:  three rows of seating, a luggage rack, high ground clearance, and a truck-based chassis.  It has limited legroom and is narrower than a lot of other SUVs (meaning it's trickier to fit three across with car seat(s) in the mix), but personal space and comfort are less important to us than the utility of the vehicle.

**  I'm actually planning to speak with my mechanic soon about installing larger springs for the rear suspension, because we often severely overload our vehicle for long distances.

If you look at the Nissan Armada and Infiniti QX80 they look extremely dated. I'm not sure what Nissan is doing. I personally don't like them.

6 ft 4. I drive a Hyundai Accent. I fit comfortably in it, and if I fold the rear seats down, my bicycle fits nicely in the back.
I'm never wrong, just wildly inaccurate.

I'm also taller and I also drive a Hyundai sedan!  It's an Elantra (you can spot it in various sign pictures I've taken, as a sort of Hidden Pictures game). One of the greatest deciding factors in buying a car was my ability to fit inside it.  I'm 6' 1"-6' 1.5"
