I have always been a roadgeek as long as I can remember. This website seems like the logical choice for a roadgeek.

Welcome from the southern Missouri Ozarks!

Yes, this is THE SITE for roadgeeking, as far as I'm aware. I can only think of one other somewhat active roadgeek site off the top of my head.

hotdogPi

Clinched, minus I-93 (I'm missing a few miles and my file is incorrect)

Traveled, plus US 13, 44, and 50, and several state routes

I will be in Burlington VT for the eclipse.

Hello from southern Wisconsin! All of you Chicagolanders are somewhat responsible for all the new road projects in WI recently.

I guess Illinois = Chicago now.

He said northern Illinois, and if you're from northern Illinois, there's a 95% chance you're a Chicagolander.

But, having lived in Chicagoland, I'm not sure I've ever heard anyone living there refer to the area as "northern Illinois".  They tend to say "Chicago", "Chicagoland", "the Chicago area", or even which end of the suburbs such as "north suburbs of Chicago".

Hearing the phrase "northern Illinois" without further context, I'm more likely to assume somewhere like Rockford, Sterling, Peru, or even Kankakee.

This will be a bit of a surprise but I actually live near Rockford.

I mean I consider that to be Chicagoland, but I guess most people on this forum don't. Anyways, welcome.

Welcome from the state of Georgia!

This site is certainly a logical choice, with plenty of roadgeekery to get involved in.

And with that said, I'm looking forward to seeing you around!
Now alternating between different highway shields for my avatar - my previous highway shield avatar for the last few years was US 76.
