I always thought so. It's about 3/4 Chicagoland anyway as it is.
Don't worry, Idaho and Indiana are easy to confuse.
- They both begin with I and have a D fairly early in the state name.
- They are both northern; both contain I-90.
- Both vote Republican for presidential candidates. (Except 2008.)
- Both are taller than they are wide.
- Indiana is considered part of the Midwest, but Idaho would be part of the Midwest instead if we didn't already define "Midwest" to represent an area that is east of the midpoint.
And trees. They both have trees.
(I'm including southern Indiana, which not everybody is wont to do.)
Idaho grows potatoes; Indiana senators misspell them. That's how I always tell them apart.
If youre talking about northwest Indiana, use IN. ID means IDaho. Que?
Out of the two states that I've called home, who'd have thought that Indiana was the one that got confused with Idaho?
