Here's an strange one.

This is the advance exit sign for K-153 Spur from southbound K-61. KDOT, for whatever reason, decided to outline the sunflower in black.
It shouldn't be in Best of Road Signs then.
Noted and moved. :)

Why not? I think the black outline looks nice.

There was one like this in Utica, NY, but I don't think it's there anymore.

I can't remember exactly where in WI there was an intersection of county roads P and OO :sombrero:.
Supporter of the construction of several running gags, including I-366 with a speed limit of 85 mph (137 km/h) and the Hypotenuse.

Please note that I may mention "invalid" FM channels, i.e. ending in an even number or down to 87.5. These are valid in Europe.

I believe these are the last surviving ones still in use in the city.

What's even stranger about this assembly is that on Hwy 28 north, the signs were posted apart to avoid saying "ASS," but didn't do the same at the stop sign for Hwy SS.  A normal sign assembly lists both routes on the same sign assembly, but wasn't clearly because of the combination.  On South 28 it's combined because SS goes left, while A goes right.  It could be because the assembly for A and SS is smaller and easier to steal than the assembly for 28, A, and SS which is bigger and takes 2 posts to mount.  The JCT signs have SS before A on the same sign to avoid the combination as well.

Not really a neat road sign, just the fact it's K-9. ;)

This VA 7 cutout in Falls Church, VA.

At this same intersection there is still also a more vintage set of US 29-VA 7 cutouts.

VA 338 cutout is now removed as of this last update of GMSV...

What's US 78 and Jasper patched over?
There used to be a button-copy US 78 shield in the middle there.

Come to think about it, how much of this type of button copy is available in California still?

Not sure about that particular structure, but it could be endangered.

California has been slowly replacing old button copy signs, in part due to the ongoing exit numbering project. On the Pacific Southwest board, there were three topics in recent months about massive sign replacement projects going to bid, which are likely to wipe out quite a bit button copy.
