An already completed section of Texas 99 (Grand Parkway) from IH 10 to Fisher Road in Chambers County has been converted into a toll road.  No cash or pay-by-mail options are available.  Only TxTag, EZ Tag and the TollTag are acceptable forms of payments available on this section of the Grand Parkway.

The toll road conversion on this section of the Grand Parkway was delayed for three years.

Whatabout out-of-state vehicles (ie, my car with Wisconsin plates)?  Am I limited to the frontage roads?

What I want to know is how they are going to connect this to the existing freeway sections of SH 202/146?

Also...weren't there plans to simply upgrade the existing SH 146 to freeway standards at least from the Chambers/Harris Co. line to I-10??

I have a car registered in Oklahoma, which means I have no front plate, only one on the rear bumper.  If I drive this toll road, how will they get my info as it looks as if the cameras point to the front?

No EZ-Pass compatibility?

From the Grand Parkway website, these are the plans:
http://www.grandpky.com/home/gpky_map.asp

As for "SH 202/146", if you meant to say Loop 201, that does not exist anymore.  SH 146 was realigned onto the 201.

The toll compatibility for SH 99 is any interoperable Texas tolling tag (NTTA's TollTag, HCTRA's EZ Tag or TxDot's TxTag.  It would be kind of cool and convenient if there was more  interchangeability with nearby states: Oklahoma's Pikepass, Kansas' K-Tag and Louisiana's GeauxPass.

Be nice if all of those were compatible with EZ-Pass as well.
