I haven't looked into this yet but would be interesting to know.  (For example, not that they're contenders, but I-27 has 2 (US 87 of course, and US 60) and I-37 has 2 (US 77 and US 281))

I'd bet I-10 or I-40- it's probably an east west, and the northern ones have too many tolled spots

I-10:
US 95
US 60
US 191
US 70
US 180
US 85
US 67
US 385
US 83
US 87
US 90
(US 90 Alt)
US 69
US 96
US 287
US 17

15, 16 with the bannered route.

I-40:
US 95
US 93
US 180
US 191
US 84
US 54
US 287
US 270
US 62
US 75
US 71
US 65
US 67
US 167
US 63
US 61
US 64
US 25W
US 321
US 70
US 311
US 421
US 220
US 29

24- I'd bet that's it- I totally forgot the Arkansas effect, but it's very real.

You forgot US 412 on I-40. The thru route is aligned with I-40 around Jackson, a business version runs through town.

That must be new. Last I saw there was a "mainline" 412 and a Business 412 both in Jackson.

I wonder if US 79 should be included? AHTD is vague on if it follows US 70 or I-40 (the "Arkansas Effect")

I-84 has US-6, US-7 and US-202 for a time in Danbury, CT.

US-6 overlaps I-80 4 different times. How many times does that happen elsewhere?
Davenport, IA -> Valparaiso, IN -> Ames, IA -> Orlando, FL -> Gainesville, FL -> Evansville, IN

30 and 84 are in two states (Oregon and Idaho), but US-6/I-80 are in four.  Indiana, Illinois, Iowa, Nebraska.

what about the most US routes "intentionally" overlapping a single interstate?  for example, with I-27, it intentionally follows the US-87 corridor, while US-60 is incidentally linked up to jog it over a bit as needed.  so, generally speaking, same cardinal direction (87 n-s, 27 n-s) though some of the more diagonal routes might be the same intended corridor but posted "crosswise".

I cannot think of an example pair that existed at the same time, but US-6 west in Long Beach was on the Harbor Freeway until 1964 (running due south), which became I-110 in 1980.  So if it weren't for that 16 year gap, we'd have a US-6/I-110 multiplex that was intended to serve the same corridor.

And US-6 overlaps I-70 even more times than that in Colorado alone, albeit unsigned!!   :sombrero:

TN asked AASHTO to remove US 412 off of I-40 and it was denied.  TN was successful with removing US 31E off of I-65 and placing it back onto Galltain Pike.

If you want to talk about the most overlaps on a single stretch of pavement, US 19-23-25-70 overlap (future) I-26 north of Asheville.

If you look at an official map there are tons of overlaps in downtown Nashville.  However, if you drive downtown good luck finding these overlaps using signage.

For 3di's, I-465 takes the cake! Of course, all the US routes (31, 36, 40, 52, 421) are unsigned, so as to avoid BGS clutter.

I-465 in Indy has the most I believe. In my state, the record is two - US-41 and US-45 concurrent with I-41 and I-894. Overall there are three US routes concurrent with I-43 at any point in WI - 10, 41, and 45.

Tennessee signage in cities has always left a lot to be desired. But are any of the US routes concurrent with the interstates?

No they are not.  They overlap each other.  There was once a US 70/US 70S concurrency sign once upon a time.  I am not sure if it is still there with all of the construction.  TN has few US Highway/Interstate overlaps.  US 412 with I-40 and US 74 with I-24.  US 31 with I-65 near the Alabama line.  Not a single one of them is posted.

I-155 and US 412 are posted together in a couple spots - https://goo.gl/maps/o8NCiNEfjP2jQ1USA

I-640 and US 25W are posted together in multiple spots too.

I-26 and US 23 are co-posted lots of places including with US 19W.

There is one 70-70S assembly I can find in2019 GMSV - https://goo.gl/maps/46ZnnPRzQMzwuc8e9

US 412 was there prior to I-155.  I am surprised at the US 25W signs.  US 23 and 19W already were posted prior to the I-26 designation.

US 431 is missing off of the US 70-70S assembly.

hbelkins

US 25W is also posted along a short segment of I-75. The old alignment of 25W is posted as TN 116.
