Any future year can be used too, because the policy is now not only to lock them, but delete them entirely, as if they never existed (thus, they will never be "seen").
Surely you jest. They delete them entirely? Moderation on steroids...

At least one, maybe more, were deleted entirely, a policy which I am very much opposed to (to put it mildly).

This is not true as far as I am aware.

This is not true as far as I am aware.

It was started by tradephoric, and the OP specifically invited a lock.
Obviously, I can't link to it, because it has "disappeared" (at least for users, maybe not for mods/admin - in which case "deleted" would be an incorrect term).

I think that particular thread was very un-tactful and cringe-worthy, as it made the overall situation worse, and effectively ensured that DST discussion would not continue. At that point, I concluded that having a normal, civilized DST discussion had become fantasy, and decided to quit defending the increasingly indefensible.

Apparently there's no 2014 thread...Somebody should create a new fantasy time zone for that!

Daylight Savings time in the US (March 2013)
Daylight Savings Time (March 2015, split from another thread)
DST (March 2016)
DST (March 2017)
DST (February 2018)
What...about DST? (November 2018)
DST (March 2019)
DST (March 2019, II)
DST (Fall 2019)

I think there's no 2014 thread for the same reason that there's no 1904 World Series: the first one wasn't a big deal, and there was no recurring pattern yet.

What about Phase 1?
That already exists, between US 65 and MO 76. The interchange with 76 is a fully graded parclo, but the mainline and southbound ramps are closed because the mainline dies in the trees just around a corner.

Arkansas builds private toll road.
South Dakota builds toll road freeway that isn't a designated Interstate.

I wouldn't call that a DST thread, since it wasn't really a serious attempt by anyone in it to discuss DST.

Right, that's what I was getting at. In theory, it was a DST thread; while the reality was that it was more like the nail in the coffin for ongoing DST discussion.

I think Scott5114's point is that it wasn't even a DST thread in theory either.  It was just plain snark.

Next DST thread gets you a nice warning. This thread has gone on long enough.
