$600 million for new freeways (mainly US 380) approved with 69% in favor
$140 million for arterial streets approved with 69% in favor

The US 380 freeway is estimated to cost around $2.2 billion, so there will still need to be a large infusion of TxDOT money to get it done.

Great, more suburban sprawl

Collin County is already sprawled, which is why building the US 380 freeway will be difficult and expensive.

Yep. They should have laid the groundwork for the US-380 freeway over 20 years ago back when there was plenty of ROW available between Denton and McKinney. Even back then it was clear DFW was growing rapidly in that direction. They could have easily expanded US-380 into a divided 4-lane highway with a wide median to hold a future freeway. Pushing a new US-380 freeway directly through McKinney still would have been difficult back then, but there's even more property built up along that corridor now (especially around the intersection of US-75 & US-380).
