I'd like the fact three of the five Experts got only 2 points from their captain Bowyer... If I hadn't him as well :ded:. Anyway all of us scored lower than usual. I hope better results for the next race. Scoreboard:
1. (1.) Steve, 2,119 points (+218)
2. (2.) Kaitlyn, 2,003 pts (+112)
3. (3.) mefailenglish, 1,987 pts (+212)
4. (3.) Matt, 1,931 pts (+156)
5. (6.) Adam, 1,830 pts (+216)
6. (5.) Leudimin (Me ), 1,822 pts (+156)
7. (9.) route56, 1,809 pts (+236) (Runner-up)
8. (8.) Danielle, 1,790 pts (+209)
9. (7.) Alex's wife, 1,778 pts (+188)
10. (10.) Alex, 1,756 pts (+196)
11. (11.) flaroads, 1,530 pts (+165)

And the time has arrived. Next Sunday is the Aaron's 499, which happens to be the namesake of my most special friend, so I've renamed my team accordingly. See you all in Talladega AL!

So close, but yet so far...

My case was worse: I scored 237 points one week, then the following week I scored 239. The special trophy is awarded to the one who scores exactly 238. It's obvious why I picked this number and not other :sombrero:.

Looks like we've got ourselves a trophy presentation this week. According to the fantasy standings, Alex's wife is the "runner-up," with the coveted 238 score.

Maybe the game is designed so that if you would get the trophy, you get one more or less.

Actually is the "group runner-up", as the overall "runner-up" goes to Adam, who scored an astounding 330 points. Anyway, I used to post the scoreboard on Tuesday, but I'm going to post today Monday since as you pointed out, we have a trophy winner. By the way, Steve got an epic failure and therefore is no longer the overall leader. Scoreboard:

1. (2.) Kaitlyn, 2,191 points (+188)
2. (1.) Steve, 2,162 pts (+43) (Yes, that's not a typo)
3. (5.) Adam, 2,160 pts (+330) (Really runner-up)
4. (3.) mefailenglish, 2,104 pts (+117)
5. (4.) Matt, 2,100 pts (+169)
6. (7.) route56, 2,035 pts (+226)
7. (9.) Alex's wife, 2,016 pts (+238!!! Trophy winner!) (Group runner-up)
8. (6.) Leudimin (Me ), 1,969 pts (+143)
9. (10.) Alex, 1,947 pts (+191)
10. (8.) Danielle, 1,941 pts (+151)

After ten races, it's clear that this season's lagger is flaroads, and the difference between the leader and the second-to-last has slashed by more than 100 points this week. Next week we go to the KS side of Kansas City.

So when is the trophy going to be presented?

mefailenglish

I would imagine at the end-of-season banquet?

BTW, I really hate Talladega.  #justsayin

CNGL-Leudimin

Okay, for the first time on the season I'm behind all Fox experts. Four out of five are in the top four. No epic fails nor outstading scores of 300+ points happened this week, but this doesn't mean the race was boring. By the way, we have another 238 trophy award: The Netherlands scored 238 points at the Eurovision song contest held last Saturday in Copenhagen :sombrero:. Anyway, the scoreboard:

1. (1.) Kaitlyn, 2,410 points (+210)
2. (3.) Adam, 2,396 pts (+236)
2. (5.) Matt, 2,396 pts (+296) (Runner-up)
4. (2.) Steve, 2,351 pts (+189)
5. (4.) mefailenglish, 2,335 pts (+231)
6. (7.) Alex's wife, 2,016 pts (+246) (Group runner-up)
7. (6.) route56, 2,240 pts (+205)
8. (10.) Danielle, 2,193 pts (+252)
9. (9.) Alex, 2,176 pts (+229)

Tomorrow is the Spanish equivalent of Friday the 13th, which obviously is not on Friday but in Tuesday. This week is the mid-May week off that in ESPN marked the end of the first segment, but here on FOX it won't happen until two races after. In two weeks we go to Charlotte NC!

I'm so far behind I'm not even paying attention!! lol It would appear that I am severely cursed this season and will never get the momentum to catch up, unless you guys would be so kind as to not pick drivers for say the next five races!! haha

CNGL-Leudimin

No race last Sunday, so no scoreboards are posted as they remain like last week.

Well there was the All-Star race.  :sombrero:

A couple of wrecks in that one and one pissed off Kyle Busch.

Jamie McMurray brought home the checkered flag.

Yeah, but that doesn't count for the championship :-P. Anyway, now that the Charlotte official race happened, Danielle got close to earn the 238 trophy, and Adam is now at the top, he was at the very bottom after Bristol. I expected some zeros due to overused drivers... At least Joe can still end the segment ahead of all 'experts'.

1. (2.) Adam, 2,648 points (+252)
2. (2.) Matt, 2,621 pts (+225)

And for the last race of the Spring segment we go to Dover DE. A little effort to avoid those drivers that have been used four times is needed, but then we will be able to pick them again as a new segment starts.

I intentionally saved one Jimmie Johnson run for this race (Dover).  Hope it pays off.   :sombrero:

Perhaps I over-saved drivers, with my massive drop mid-season... At least it leads to a solid line-up for Dover.

CNGL-Leudimin

I can also use Johnson on the last race of the segment, as I've used him only twice...

It did.  :) Unfortunately, Vickers (43) and Kyle Busch (42) did not.   :-(

CNGL-Leudimin

I only had Ky Busch. And thank God I hadn't Biffle avalaible, since I would have picked him. So I played the Johnson wild card, as no 'expert' picked him, and I scored more than all but one of them. Final segment scoreboard:

By the way, the name of my team is not pronounced like you believe. It's not a-A-ron, but a-a-RON. This is the Spanish way of pronounce the name Aaron, and it's even reflected by the presence of an acute where the stress is put (Aarón).
