A few weeks ago, the Hokule'a (ho-koo-LAY ah) and the Hikianalia (hee-kee-ah-nah-LEE-ah), a pair of Hawaiian outrigger sailing canoes like the ones they used to sail across the ocean hundreds of years ago, departed on a round-the-world trip. They will navigate using only the stars, sun and moon, tides and other means of that nature. Link:

Best of wishes to the crews of these boats. By the way, for you astronomy fans, Hokule'a is the Hawaiian name for Arcturus and Hikianalia is the Hawaiian name for Spica.
Remember: If the women don't find you handsome, they should at least find you handy.

I'd rather be a child of the road than a son of a ditch.
