Can someone explain to me what is up with this lake? Did the Los Angeles county water district really destroy an entire lake because they didn't listen to concerns over their aqueduct destroying the lake? Is it true that the entire valley was also destroyed because the lake dried up, and that Los Angeles won't take any of the blame for it? I hear so many different stories and I'm not sure what to believe about it.

Well the lakes in that area had been drying up for thousands of years, Owens Lake manage to keep a stable amount of water until Los Angeles took it's water until it completely dried up. Of course they had to pay thousands of dollars.
Now the lake is small and has small amounts of water in it, to help with the air quality because the wind blew dust and sand from the former lake bed into the air.
