I drove Pardee Dam Road yesterday.  Said road actually crosses a spillway and the main dam structure.

Mr. Matté

CR 629 over the Round Valley Reservoir dam near Lebanon, NJ is a historic case of one. Right now, the earthen dam is undergoing reconstruction so the road is closed off at both ends. I did read on another discussion forum that the state is looking to permanently close it to cars and only allow pedestrians, cyclists, and emergency vehicles. One of the reasons cited is "Muh terrists" but it also looks like the Lebanon borough mayor is liking the reduced car traffic through town. The two main ways north of the reservoir (part of a state park) is either CR 629 which dumps you onto narrow streets of the borough or CR 621 directly to US 22.

I don't believe anyone's mentioned Nacimiento Lake Dr (county route G14) near Paso Robles, CA, which runs atop the Nacimiento Dam.
