A future M-32 extention?

Seems unlikely when MDOT is having to resort to financial tricks (counting the $500 million Canada put up for the new DRIC bridge towards MDOT's share for federal highway funding).

It's not going to get beyond consideration until and unless Michigan's fuel taxes are doubled from 18 to 36 cents per gallon.

I thought I'd mention that in 1967, when the final 2 miles of M-66/M-32 was relocated to junction with US-31 on Charlevoix's outskirts, the Archway Motel (no longer there) was on the corner, and I remember the motel's owner believed M-32 was originally designated on the proposed route, and that it was cosigned with M-66 when the new 2 mile stretch was completed.  Don't know where he got that idea, but I didn't want him to get upset, so I didn't want to argue with him. :coffee:

I should add that part of this proposed M-32 extention is designated The Breezeway to encourage motorists to see sights and scenery.  Here's it's website:
