Y'all would've believe how many leaves I've found stuck on the Google camera lens while looking at traffic lights and railroad crossings on street view.
It's all fun & games until someone summons Cthulhu and brings about the end of the world.

I also collect traffic lights, road signs, fans, and railroad crossing equipment.

There should be driving directions *and* streetview. You don't have both?
Try this:
http://maps.google.com/?ll=33.105769,-94.175041&cbp=12,0,,0,5&cbll=33.105769,-94.175041&layer=c
Maybe it's dropping the street view when it converts the URL from Old Maps to New Maps?  Second link works.

QuoteAnyway, notice the air conditioner protruding from the front door, propped up by a board and a tire.  Maybe the tire is just a door stop or something -- whatever works, it doesn't matter.  I applaud their resourcefulness and ingenuity.  Hey, the back door still works, right?
Looks like the opening in the storm door is the only window wide enough for the AC unit. Or maybe they just didn't want to refer to it as their Window Shaker.

I've seen two of my friends working in their front yard ;)

In the Virginia thread there was discussion about the Google car being pulled over on Street View in the town of Newsoms.

This was the case in an earlier version of the shots of Gauley Bridge, W.V., but it was re-shot.  Haven't used the GSV historical slider to see if the old one is still in there.

Apparently, trees can grow through signs now (or at least it looks like it  :-D).

Google street view caught a pair of signal maintainers at a crossing. One of the waved at the camera and the other flipped the street view car off:

Why am I not surprised.  I'll bet the guy doesn't even have a FOID card.

I have seen my wife's van in two different driveways at the same time.  Once at home; once in a family friend's driveway on the other side of Philadelphia.  StreetView shot at different times, obviously.

This looks to be taken right after Hurricane Irene in 2011, as noticed by the very high level of the Millstone River as well as the damage that is clearly visible in the area.

Wow, there's one heck of a red streak on the road.  I'm hoping it's a deer, but I'm not so hopeful.

I found this one while looking for the 5-way intersection in my old neighborhood.  It falls under the juvenile humor category.

Here's a Street View driver blatantly breaking traffic laws by driving in a bus lane in Seattle: https://goo.gl/maps/hvQXZ

Note that the lane is for rush hour only, but looking around shows that there's buses on ST route 513, which only runs during rush hour in that direction. Also, there's no cars in the lane and the bus-only sign is lit.

The people who drive Google cars are still human, and still do illegal things. Getting pulled over is no exception.

The street view camera is turned sideways to fit under a low-clearance bridge:

The streetview imagery for Wenatchee, WA was taken during one of its seasonal wildfires, so the entire city is covered in smoke:

I don't think this Streetview driver in Portland, OR got permission to be on the unopened busway on the MAX Orange Line:

https://goo.gl/maps/cRRek

Usually if a transit agency allows this, they'd have a crowd of personnel to greet the car.

I'd love to see Google Streetview coverage of busways, subways and railways eventually. Especially Seattle's, which has a few art installations in tunnels that you normally can't see as well as weird stubs and unused segments (especially when the bus tunnel converts to rail-only).
