What Interstate and US Highway have you not been on for the longest time.

So I got to thinking the other day about what state I have been to, but have not visited for the longest time. I came up with New Jersey in 1983. (Though I was just across the Hudson from it last year.)

So how does this apply to highways? Like New Jersey, most of these date back to my childhood when I would visit my mother's family out east.  These are reasonable guesses.

2-digit interstate:  I-87 (Business trip to upstate New York in 1994)
3-digit interstate:  I-287 in New York  (1984. Drove this from I-95 to I-87 when we drove back to the midwest via Niagara Falls.)
US highway:  US-9 (1981-ish. Drove from Tarrytown to West Point. I don't believe I have been on it since, though I have crossed it at least once.)

For 3di it's I-680 in California, I haven't been to the Bay Area in more than 2 decades. 2di is probably I-17, from the same trip.
Control cities CAN be off the route! Control cities make NO sense if signs end before the city is reached!

2DI I-93 near Manchester NH 1990

3DI I-475 Georgia 1985
US probably US 4 near Concord by a hair over US 202, both in 1990

Dirt Roads

Wow, you are all making me feel old.  There were a lot of contenders for this thread, but here's my best answer:

Interstate:  I-16 (1987)
US Route:  US-129 (1983)

CoreySamson

Interstate: Either I-65 or I-59, depending on our routing we took on a trip to NC in 2007.
US Route: Apart from anything that was multiplexed with the above routes (US 280, perhaps?), my concrete answer would be US 29, which I haven't been on since 2012 or 2013.

Interstate

2DI: I-75 (1986).  I-4 one day shorter
3DI: I-190 NY (1990).  I-290 NY about 15 minutes shorter
US: 192 (1982).  US 58 one day shorter.
Interstates I've clinched: 97, 290 (MA), 291 (CT), 291 (MA), 293, 295 (DE-NJ-PA), 295 (RI-MA), 384, 391, 395 (CT-MA), 395 (MD), 495 (DE), 610 (LA), 684, 691, 695 (MD), 695 (NY), 795 (MD)

I-55

Interstate: Probably I-30. Last time I was on it was in 2011 when I was visiting friends that had moved. I-820 would be the last of the 3dis.

US: Same trip, most likely US 81 and 287. Friends lived near Decatur, TX at the time.

US 89

I’m pretty sure all of mine are from a trip to Seattle in 2010...

2di: I-82
3di: I-405 WA
2dus: US 97
3dus: US 395

Bruce

Quote from: US 89 on August 02, 2022, 11:54:13 PM
3di: I-405 WA

Depending on how soon you return to WA, the I-405 you remember will have long since changed. HOT lanes have necessitated a complete rebuild of the corridor, with the north half already done and the south half underway.

2DI - I-80 - 2001 (crossed it last November)
3DI - I-580 - 2001
US - US87 - 2004

hbelkins

Off the top of my head, it would be I-4, US 92, and US 192. Last time I was in Florida was 1978.

Sticking with since I've been driving...

2di - I-29 (2000)
3di - I-195 (ME) (1990)

2dus - US 91 (1997)
3dus - US 160 (2013)?

webny99

In terms of what I have logged in TM (>99% certainty that I've traveled it), I guess it would be I-696 (MI). I don't remember exactly when, but it was around 2004. I'm pretty sure every 2di I've been on, I've been on since 2017. I'm drawing a blank on I-83 but that might be 2016. If so, that would be it.

US Route would be US 8, last traveled in 2012.
