^ You have to follow from what was played (Pennsylvania 174, from Virginia 174) with either a 174 or another Pennsylvania route marker. You could play from the other Pennsylvania route marker in that photo (PA 74 in the background), but you can't break the chain by jumping to any unrelated sign that happens to be in the photo.

Oops, my bad. Still trying to familiarise myself with this game....

EDIT: Am I not permitted to attempt again until 24 hours later per this rule?

You can play again. The rule only applies to valid plays. In addition, the 24-hour rule only comes into effect if your own play was the most recent; if someone else played a valid photo after you, you can play again immediately.

My picture inventory is much smaller than most others here, so I'll continue my role of switching the number whenever a NY shield is played!  :)

NY 174 > NY 19 in Bergen, NY

Go Cubs Go! Go Cubs Go! Hey Chicago, what do you say? The Cubs are gonna win today!

Take 2. Exit 19 (new BGS) off of the Maine Turnpike. March 13, 2021.

Exit 19 > Exit 20 (A or B) on I-390 in Gates, NY

Keep right except to pass.  Yes.  You.
Visit scenic Orleans County, NY!

So unless I'm mistaken, we could now go back-to-back again with the two previous photos and keep the trend going to get us to Exit 27.

(Of course, that would be a little boring, so if anyone else has an Exit 25 they should jump in!  :))

I just wanted to keep the string of green signs with white square route shields on them going.

I'll keep it going and try to make it interesting, with long-gone Exit 25 on I-93 (I think, though I do see a US 1 shield in the picture also) of Boston's Central Artery, taken from inside of what was then called FleetCenter.  November 29, 2002.

Staying near Boston on I-93 South on the Northern Expressway, here's SEQUENTIAL exit 26 (still is as of the writing of the post) to Leverett Circle / Storrow Drive.

formulanone

Exit 27, but on Massachusetts' I-495:

Note: curiously, Exit 27 on I-20 in Mississippi also points to a town called "Bolton".

Exit 28, with Quebec's unusual (at least for North America) style of exit tab:

Exit 28 off CA 91, with another unusual looking exit tab:

Go Cubs Go! Go Cubs Go! Hey Chicago, what do you say? The Cubs are gonna win today!

Getting this back on track (sequence of exit numbers), exit 28 => exit 29, on I-81 in Virginia:

JoePCool14

Gonna go back and snag the first exit number that we didn't get earlier.
Exit 29 > Exit 18
