The final signage is in place now that the Horseshoe project is completed, and just east of downtown IH 30 has some retro signage. It makes me wonder if the person in charge of signage likes historical context or doesn't like Tom Landry. (The old DFW Turnpike is now named the Tom Landry Highway)

I remember the City of Dallas changed all of their signs years ago. Certainly an interesting goof. Kinda like when LOOP 310 was accidentally resurrected on signage at Luna and Broadway in Carrollton when the Luna Rd Overpass over I-35E was built.
I can't stand the kerning on that post mounted I-30 shield. The "30" numerals are crowded as hell. It looks like they were applied to the shield a bit too low. Those rounded bridge piers look pretty strange too. Not really a big fan of that look.
Earlier this week Google updated the imagery for Dallas-Fort Worth. The new imagery is dated September 6, 2017. It shows finishing touches in progress on the Horseshoe Project. The previous imagery was dated for January of this year.

I read through GSV's schedule for a few cities and it had Texas on there, so ver likely the case.
I saw these street-blade signs a few weeks ago, and meant to post about them at that time, but forgot.
Another oddity is that Dallas's mastarm standard is to leave off the suffix, so standard would be to just say "Dallas Ft Worth".
Since Dallas went to Clearview for its mast-arm street blades, most have not had a street-type suffix. Some cases have appeared with a suffix, likely for clarity; these include Meandering Way, Churchill Way, and Dallas Pkwy.
When I worked at Mapsco I was the project manager for the Dallas street atlas, and we left off suffixes for the most part. Unless it would be confusing to not have it, it was a rarer suffix like 'plaza' or 'cove', or if it was a major street. Growing up in Dallas we never really said the suffix with the street name.

The signage is inconsistent along that part of I-30. Sometimes it says "Tom Landry" and sometimes it says "Interstate 30." My guess is that this sign refers to the frontage road, which may have been named by the city. The city may have named it Dallas Fort Worth Turnpike. Google Maps calls it that. Tom Landry Highway was named by the legislature, and the name applies to the freeway.
It's quite common to give the "Freeway" suffix to the city street names of frontage roads. It's done all over the DFW area, as most of the "Freeway" names we're familiar with are actually frontage roads. Often the city name for the frontage road will be signed in spite of the adjacent freeway having a legislated name. In Fort Worth signs say California Parkway and Loop 820 even though I-20 is the Ronald Reagan Memorial Highway. Some signs in Arlington say Frontage Rd. instead of Tom Landry Highway along I-30. In my experience, it's unusual in this area to have the freeway names signed and more common to have the (often "Freeway" suffixed) frontage road names signed.
In the DFW area, the only "Freeway" names designated by the legislature to apply to the freeways are S. M. Wright Freeway and Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Freeway (that last comma is part of the name). I-30 in the city of Greenville is also Martin Luther King, Jr., Freeway and is marginally in the DFW area. The others, and North Central Expressway, are city street names that apply to the frontage roads.

And yet, on the GSV spot-checks I've done, it's always just "Lovers".
