Flash flood warning and thunder and lightning.  Had to have picked up about an inch of rain in the last hour.  Still in the upper 60's at 10:00 at night in late October; I'll take it.
Interstates I've clinched: 97, 290 (MA), 291 (CT), 291 (MA), 293, 295 (DE-NJ-PA), 295 (RI-MA), 384, 391, 395 (CT-MA), 395 (MD), 495 (DE), 610 (LA), 684, 691, 695 (MD), 695 (NY), 795 (MD)

Dark.  Clear skies, but the possible northern lights that were forecast did not appear.

In a stretch of some seriously nice weather in SEA right now. Upper 60s to near 70 tomorrow, and sunny. Halloween looks sunny for the first time in probably five years. It usually rains (my Halloween's growing up always sucked because of this). The weatherman says that it'll be the first dry Halloween for a decade, but I remember it being dry more recent than that (and also very cold -- well below freezing, which is unusual for October, even in the Seattle foothills where I grew up).

Friday was the first day of frost (I think) for my area. It was -1°C (30°F) on my drive to work at 7:30 am. Tomorrow is a high of 9°C (48°F).

We just had tropical storm force winds here about an hour ago.  Limbs are down and reports of about 3 or 4 transformers blowing with a 4 mile radius of me.  The lights flickered twice, but I still have lights (if I was missing this baseball game, I'd be cursing the name of Eversource from here to eternity.)

UMass Lowell closed because they have no power. I have power, but not Internet (I'm posting from Starbucks).
Clinched, minus I-93 (I'm missing a few miles and my file is incorrect)

Traveled, plus US 13, 44, and 50, and several state routes

I will be in Burlington VT for the eclipse.

very windy. Rainstorm last night that hit the north shore especially hard.

Apparently Central California is getting the first sizeable rain of the fall/winter season.  I might be in the minority on this but I really hope it isn't anything like last year when a lot of the roads got taken out in mudslides from heavy rain volumes in mountainous areas.  CA 1 and 35 are still jacked up, many others that almost never have problems like 198 and 245 also had slide closures.

Chilly, but calm and clear.  A nice night for Halloween.

It won't be very autumn-like for the next week or so. Low 80s and high 70s, peppered with rain here and there. After that it'll be mid 50s-low 60s and quite a bit of wind, drizzle, and persistent cloud cover.

I love my 2010 Ford Explorer.

It's 43 degrees now, so I checked if it was really 75 eleven hours ago and thirty miles away.

It was nowhere near 75 when you posted that, even though the high that day was likely 75.

75 degrees at 10 PM in Massachusetts in November (which didn't happen) would be unusual, but just posting two digits without clarification every few posts is pointless.
