Most importantly, they're doing it while land is cheaper than it will be 20 years from now.

The remaining four alternatives for the Denton County Outer Loop are included in the public meeting info. The Denton County Outer Loop connects to the Collin County Outer Loop at Celina.

All have a similar amount of curves and swerves, and I don't view any particular option as superior. The main issue to decide is the intersection at I-35, Rector Road or Milam Road.

I think the blue alterative the most, followed by the purple alternative. They bypass Aubrey in a more graceful manner. The blue alternative reaches I-35 near Milam Road, a point where there is less existing development than the intersection with Rector Road. The Milam Road exit on I-35 is also farther away from the existing railroad corridor.

The routes all basically duplicate FM 428 on either side of Aubrey up to the point where it dips south toward Denton. I just hope they keep the old Elm Fork pedestrian bridge.
