I was in radio in college, but the only thing I still listen to on regular radio is 'American Top 40' reruns on WGRR.

What kind of music did you play?

I only listen to FM radio for trips in my car that are roughly 20 minutes or less. Anything longer and I'm either playing music off my Pandora playlist or listening to a sporting event on an AM station. The FM station is 94.7 WLS.

In college a friend of mine was part of the music selection committee for the radio station.  They would play bits of the tons of promo CDs that would get sent to the station and the group would vote on whether to add it.  At the end of the meeting the unused CDs would get left out for people to keep.  I got a lot of free CDs that way.  Eventually they got smart and wouldn't let anyone take a CD they had voted against!

WBBM-FM 105.9 - Traffic, news, but mostly for traffic while I'm driving.
If there's no SiriusXM in the vehicle, then WLS-FM 94.7 - 70s and 80s music.
Otherwise, it's SiriusXM, ranging from 70s on 7 to Yacht Rock to Lithium (basically all over the map).
"If you think this has a happy ending, you haven't been paying attention." - Ramsay Bolton, "Game of Thrones"

"Symbolic of his struggle against reality." - Reg, "Monty Python's Life of Brian"

ari-s-drives

I don't listen to much radio while I drive, but I usually am getting news or traffic so I usually default to 88.5 KQED.
