"or worrying"?  Looks like it's a crime for a dog to exist in rural areas of CA!

"Worrying" actually has a specific meaning in this case; I think "harrying" might be a similar meaning. Basically it amounts to "nipping at their heels".
Rule 37. There is no 'overkill'. There is only 'open fire' and 'I need to reload'.

Nitpick: none of those Interstate shields have cardinal directions next to them.

Also, the 880 sign has a smaller pullthrough arrow than the rest.

To me, coming from the Midwest, that sign seems very off.

It'd make more sense to capitalize "DOWNTOWN" with the city name in mixed case below "DOWNTOWN", and to have "BUSINESS" to the left of {101}.  "ROUTE" seems rather redundant.  i.e.

BUSINESS {101}
DOWNTOWN

Creative way to sign the I-25 Business Spur (that's correct, it ends in town) serving the little town of Aguilar, Colorado. That's CDOT's new standard blade street sign.

Wow, that's just awesome! Now if only they'd sign that business route from I-25 itself ...

It is signed from I-25 Northbound at Exit 34 as Business Spur 25. Not so much Southbound. Also posted with reassurance markers along the route from I-25 to "downtown" Aguilar.

I see from this Google Maps link that it is signed from northbound I-25:

https://maps.google.com/maps?q=Aguilar,+CO&hl=en&ll=37.423767,-104.636727&spn=0.004644,0.010568&sll=32.824552,-117.108978&sspn=0.624323,1.352692&oq=aguilar&t=h&hnear=Aguilar,+Las+Animas,+Colorado&z=17&layer=c&cbll=37.423767,-104.636727&panoid=8D1yvJCJOaKgcy3X08tT9w&cbp=12,355.77,,0,1.28

It is also signed on the route itself. When I went through there in 2008, it was basically unsigned except for one lone sign at the western end of the route. I imagine the southbound sign will change to match the northbound sign at some point...

Also, is the standard for business loop/spur signage in Colorado now going to feature the white background square behind the green shield? That is also something I've not seen in Colorado previously.

Andy

It's not something I recall seeing elsewhere in Colorado. Doesn't mean it isn't out there. It's certainly not standard practice.

But I like that it still does exist.
