Strange 4-way traffic light by me, on Flickr

I took this photo yesterday in Lowell (on LRTA bus 17). It seems like a 4-way where there was originally only one, and then three extras got added.

That's a 4-way cluster. Not quite a true 4-way, but many towns seem to do it to directly replace 4-ways with newer signals (without having to install any new mast arms or span wires) or to try and maintain the old look of the 4-ways while installing newer signals.
It's all fun & games until someone summons Cthulhu and brings about the end of the world.

I also collect traffic lights, road signs, fans, and railroad crossing equipment.

Having just returned from Texas and Louisiana, I didn't see any 4_ways, though I've previously spotted this in Jefferson, Texas

If I didn't know better, I would have thought that picture was taken in Michigan (4 way clusters that look like that are very common here).

There is one (well, two) in Rogers TX, at the intersection of US 190/TX 36 and FM 437.

If I’d known it was there before I went through, I would have stopped to take a picture. Oh well...

That's a 4-way cluster not a true 4-way.  See previous comments on this thread.  The OP's asking about genuine 4-ways.

4-way signals are fixed 4-way heads that are only one piece, not 4-way clusters, which are four heads cluttered together

None in Huntsville or Madison County, AL for that matter, but there are several in the surrounding towns. Fort Payne, AL and Athens, AL have quite a few, along with Gadsden, AL. Tuscumbia, AL; Sheffield, AL; and Florence, AL also all have a few, and both Birmingham, AL and Cullman, AL each have a pair of them. Leighton, AL also has this rather cool old Crouse-hinds Type M 4-way at their one signalized intersection in town, last I checked:

I grew up with these.

That's a 4 way cluster, when we mean 4 ways, we mean four faced signals placed on a single body

Ohio, by any chance?

Nice! Is that signal still there? If so, then that makes five known locations of command lenses that are still in service!

To my knowledge, yes it is...or was 3 months ago :)

As far as I know, there are none remaining in Knox County, Tennessee.  Perhaps there are some lurking in the most rural corners of the county, but none by me.

The only flashing 4-way I remember is outside Macon, GA at the intersection of Lower Thomaston and Old Saxony Roads.  It's been decades since I've last been there, so it may very likely be gone.

There are a couple of old true four-way signals that are still in Michigan. The first is a Crouse-hinds type M in Croswell. The second is a Sargent Sowell in East Tawas, but it has been in permanent flash mode since the 80s. I'm new to this forum and I don't know how to add pictures to posts, so I'll just put the links of a YouTube video I made for each of the signals.

Michigan has a lot in rural areas mainly, not so much in urban areas but they do exist. In Saginaw County there are several 4 way stops or all way stops as they are usually called. There are some 3 way stops as well.

I know that for example the corner of Swan Creek Road and M-52 in Saginaw County has a nightly four way stop, it's a regular traffic light during the day.

There's a pair in Richmond at Clay Street and Roseneath Road.

Surprisingly despite all the building going on in the area, these are still there. (GSV is from May, but the signals are still there today).

Those aren't fixed 4-way signals, they are 4-way clusters

Until fairly recently, there was a 4-way flashing red beacon in Francis, Utah: https://goo.gl/maps/43N3CA7kMM22

It has since been replaced with a 4-way cluster. Those are actually quite rare in Utah as well; there are probably less than ten in the entire state.

Found these ones today in Youngstown, OH (at the intersection of OH 289 and N. Walnut St.)
