I just got this traffic light section off of E-Bay.
seller had no info about it and I was wondering if
any one might know who made it.
it is made of metal, lens is 12 inches,
no markings on it other than number
7A-701821

They've been using them a lot since the early 1990s. Still seeing new installations of Mark IV's today.

oldhippie

so the Mark IV's are still being made then?
nice that there are still metal ones being made with all the
plastic around

Typically jurisdictions which primarily use Durasigs will use a Mark IV to suspend five-light clusters from span wires because the Mark IV can withstand the weight.

oldhippie

makes sense.
also it seems to that compairing the metal one that I have
to a plastic it seems lighter than a plastic.
plastic seems to weigh almost twice as much.

Mark IV signals are still being extensively used in Delaware, with the occasional McCain brand signal.

Shouldn't they be using Biden brand signals in Delaware?  :sombrero:
