And Interstate 175 with some custom font.

I add them randomly as I think about them or as I archive more data onto dvd.  :cool:

sweet!  I drove by that shield every day when I lived in St. Pete, and never thought twice of it because it didn't have a state name.  Didn't recognize the funny 5 until later!

That's a weird one, since as best as I can tell, US 50 and US 240 never shared pavement.  I'll have to double-check when I get home, but the only place they *MIGHT* have shared pavement would've been on 23rd St NW near the Lincoln Memorial.  And I'm pretty sure US 50 has always used Constitution Ave, which would make that sign even more in error since WB 50 would have gone SOUTH on 23rd St to access the Memorial Bridge (US 50's crossing of the Potomac before the I-66 bridge was built).

So you're saying DC posted a sign in error?  Never!

I've gotten two I-95 VA Shields(one a reassurance marker SB south of VA 35/US 301/VA 156 and the second a "TO I-95" trailblazer around Woodbridge off VA 123 just west of I-95)

haven't really posted about recent updates ... I've added a bunch of photos of Scott Broady's collection of old highway markers, as well as Michael Summa photos from GA, IL, and IN.  And most importantly, some great photos by Jim Lindsay from the early 1960s (!) in OH, PA, and NJ.  Check out the then-and-now pair of photos from the former terminus of US-206.

updates in the last two days include some Kansas, Kentucky, and Louisiana (primarily from Michael Summa, but from other sources too), and also a whole slew of new images for Pennsylvania.  Next up, general updates for RI, SC, TN, VA, VT, WI, WV, WY.  Should have all that up by this weekend.

oh and more stuff from Jim Lindsay, circa 1960.  Whoo hoo!

I didn't take this picture. ;)

Thanks for including some of my photos, though. I'll have to get some more and send them to you (Richmond still has plenty of cutouts).

@syntheticdreamer:

can you take a photo of a US-360 or US-501 cutout?  We are missing those numbers.

The I-77 Virginia sign was still up as of July 2008.
