Alps

In the very topical theme of New York and Connecticut, here is an update from New York and Connecticut. Highlights include very many unique views of New York City's and State's very many bridges, some very special Connecticut Turnpike shields on the NY and CT I-95 pages, and the unofficial 2012 Rochester Mini-Meet that you never knew about. Comments, corrections, love, immunity always welcomed.

#201
Last roads update on the year takes all of my 2012-2013 input for New Jersey and squeezes it into a couple hundred pages. It's a doozy. The main features are yet another road meet (Brick/Wall), old US 9W in the Palisades, and ongoing construction at Parkway Exits 88-89 and Turnpike Interchange 8. You know where to go.

Alps

My first of 7 Non-Roads updates to close out the year takes me to western Canada and some new provinces on the site. https://www.alpsroads.net/www
Comments, corrections, socially distanced greetings always welcomed.

Alps

My second of 7 Non-Roads updates to close out the year takes me to western Canada and another new province on the site. Over 800 photos, featuring Highway 93 and a lot of fog, along with some cool Calgary fun: https://www.alpsroads.net/www/ab
Comments, corrections, socially distanced greetings always welcomed.

Alps

My third Non-Roads update is most things British Columbia - whatever wasn't in the first update. See the unfortunately foggy mountains of Highway 93 and the polite hills of Vancouver Island. You might even see a glimpse of a road now and then.

Yada yada yada welcome.

Alps

Non-Roads #4/7 for 2020 takes us stateside to Washington, featuring the additions of Montana and Idaho to my site with other sundries. Most of the features are mountain scenery, but as my FB page (https://www.facebook.com/alpsroads.net) teased yesterday, there's a giraffe to be found and some interesting town/city architecture. You know the drill by now. https://www.alpsroads.net/www

Alps

More places Alps has been: Hill Annex Mine, US 2, and North Dakota. Come visit them with me: https://www.alpsroads.net/www. Comments something something love letters etc.

Alps

Alps has cats! And aerial photos of the West! And... both of Cleveland's buildings! Non-Roads Installment 6 of 8 is officially up and running.

Alps

My 2 weeks of vacation ended up delaying my next update by nigh on 2 weeks, but here it is: Northern New England and Upstate New York scenery, along with some much needed NYC content. https://www.alpsroads.net/www

Alps

That's it. No more 2012-2013 photos in the queue. I can officially say that my backlog is less than 7 years old for the first time in over a year. Milestone achieved, and I'm gonna celebrate. Come join me:
https://www.alpsroads.net/www

Highlights: WV scenery, several sporting events in PA and NJ, old cars in Boonton, old houses in Finesville (and elsewhere), and one old castle on Ramapo Mountain.

Why not get a head start on the new year? I was so excited to share the Ridge Route with you, I just had to get going. My first of the 2014-era updates features old US 99 through California and the various roads nearby. My main site has the full info or you can click through all the pages linked from my California page: https://www.alpsroads.net/roads/ca

In this case, comments and corrections are VERY welcome, because I am touching on a historic corridor and I know there are experts out there with more to add. Please don't hesitate to write webmaster@!

Alps

My first update of the new year continues in California but focuses on Washington and old US 99. Other features include the 2014 Seattle Road Meet, abandoned WA 520 Arboretum Interchange, Alaskan Way construction, the Toontown tunnel (Griffith Park, CA), and a ton of ancient street signs and button copy from Los Angeles. Oh, and a new country. Bip your peeper thusly:

Please add comments, corrections, and free cake. Mmm, cake.

Alps

There have been quite a few new threads started since my last update. I guess I should update again, then. Today I feature Oregon with over 1,000 photos centered on old US 99 and current US 101, along with a passel of bridges in Portland and beyond. I have also thoroughly revamped and upgraded content on the NJ Multiplex and 5xx Ends pages, something that's been in my queue for 15 years. So please do me the honor of viewing! Comments, questions, corrections, and particularly this time, submissions of multiplex and 5xx ends photo, all appreciated!

It's January 30, which means it's time for another update! No, seriously, I always update my website on 1/30/21. I have stuffed my California page chock full of US 101, old US 101, and CA 1, and you'll find assorted other goodies along the way. Click on through and let me know if you like it! (And if I got anything wrong. But I try. I really try.)

I think you can find the link to my page in this thread. But you should already have it bookmarked...

Alps

Does anybody read this? In record time, I've gotten another update out in less than a week! This is all things Bay Area, so a true treat for fans of button copy. I've also embarked on a small but exciting new project with NJ. Check out the details!

Might as well face it, pooing is cool

I private messaged you a few years ago about adding MA 108 explicitly. You said you weren't updating at the time, but you're updating now. I have the 8 photos on Flickr, and you can see them here (although you'll want larger versions than the ones I put there). While we don't need MA 108 on both alpsroads and aaroads, would you consider adding a page for MA 108 if Alex either declines or defers to your site?
Clinched, plus MA 286

Traveled, plus several state routes

Lowest untraveled: 25 (updated from 14)

New clinches: MA 286
New traveled: MA 14, MA 123

I am updating but I'm still not accepting submissions at this time. There's a good chance I'll have an MA 108 page from my own content soon enough.

Speaking of not accepting submissions, I am forcing you to accept my own submission of a long-overdue NEW UPDATE! Today, for your viewing ordeal, I offer 600 IL photos, 800 TN photos, updates to the NJ Route Log, and 100 MO photos featuring the most notorious meet of all time. You won't want to have missed it 7 years ago! You know the site, I just have to tell you to peep and weep.

TWO ANNOUNCEMENTS!
#1: Today is an UPDATE. Wabash Cannonball Bridge, ON Hwy. 401 construction (west end and 412), new segments of A-35 and A-410, US 42 across Ohio... don't miss all the good stuff! You know where to go.
#2: Before checking out the update - and you know I never say this - check out the roadwaywiz live drive season/series finale! I might pop in! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kgtqculm6U4

Tonight's update features a bunch of Southern and Mid-Atlantic states. Highlights include a bunch of bridges from the 19th-20th centuries, the signs of Harry's Grill in Hendersonville, NC, and the C&O Canal Town Creek Aqueduct and Paw Paw Tunnel in Maryland. Click. On. Over.

Always great to see more CT coverage. For grins, here's the part of my "link maker" script that automatically provides a link to your matching page from my state route pages. I'm super glad that you have a consistent URL naming system. I'll need to add 167, 168, etc. for the latest update.
