Somewhere between four and seven inches of snow fell in Central Iowa yesterday, which, among other accidents, wreaked brutal carnage on I-35: https://www.desmoinesregister.com/story/weather/2018/02/05/heavy-snowfall-could-cause-messy-commute-des-moines-tonight/306469002/

Now, this morning, it's just cold as shit. (—5°F)

A bit of snow midday

Can mean anything between 10am and 2pm. Was it just flurries or did it accumulate? :pan: :pan:

Got another inch of snow last night, bringing me up to 5.6 since Saturday night. Now we wait for the main show, 5-9 inches possible from Thursday night through early Saturday morning.

Rain now. However, it was snowing earlier, causing UMass Lowell to close at noon today, and causing a 30-minute delay for a bus I took to get back home.

The first big snow for Chicago comes tonight, possibly 6-12 inches. Might be remoting for work tomorrow cause my current streets aren't snow routes

Cloudy and 62 this afternoon. The rain is gone, but we still may not see the sun until around Saturday. Tomorrow will be colder, only in the 40s, but what the rest of the week lacks in blue skies it'll make up for on the thermometer with highs climbing into the 60s and perhaps even into the 70s(!) on Thursday, which would likely be a record high if it pans out.

New Orleans, Louisiana.  Yesterday, it hit 82 degrees.  Today, it didn't top 53 degrees.  Neither temperature is unusual for New Orleans in mid February.  The swing is a bit annoying though.

Snow is back in the forecast! Maybe winter isn't over here.

I too am seeing a chance for snow this Sunday. Rough change from today's sun and mild temps, but it beats rain.

jasonh300

Contrary to ALL of the weather reports that said it was going to be cold and rain all day today in New Orleans (Mardi Gras day), it was sunny, in the high 60s, and not a drop of rain.

In Vancouver this morning. Bit of snow on the ground, but near 40 degrees. Starting to become sunny but still chilly.

The melt-off is on, lost about half the depth in the snowpack as we reached mid 40s for highs yesterday. Some rain today that'll help wash the salt shit off my car before going back down to normal low 30 temps tomorrow.

Cloudy for the last week. Cloudy today. Cloudy for the next week.

At least it's warm, I guess. 63 today after a high of 70, and we may not even drop below 60 tonight, which sounds more like May than February. Light rain might be coming back for the weekend.

Actually quite warm for February. In the 50s.
