Roundball Rock is back...but on another network!

If you remember the NBA on NBC in the 90s, then you certainly know its iconic theme song that was composed by John Tesh. Fox has brought it back for its college basketball telecasts after using the marching band version of its infamous NFL on Fox theme (which, BTW, can still be heard for college football). Sure, it'll feel weird to have it heard on a network whose logo is not a peacock, but this should make watching college hoops worth watching. (And even though I hate how ESPN/ABC stole the NBA in 2002, and it'll never be as good as the 90s classics, I think they made the right call by using their own music for their telecasts.) I think Fox intends to use it sparingly. I heard it on a game last Saturday, but didn't hear it during last night's telecast of Michigan-Illinois on FS1 (the regular marching band NFL theme used instead).

What's next: ESPN resurrecting this chestnut for college basketball coverage?

How about....if Bob Costas and Roundball Rock had been the intro to the most recent NBA Finals Game 7:

This reminds me of my just completed trip to my parents in the Omaha area. Mom and I were watching a basketball game (I don't recall what, but I assume it was probably Creighton basketball) and Roundball Rock comes on and she goes "This song isn't very original. I think I heard it before, but it's not the same".
MORE FUN THAN HUMANLY THOUGHT POSSIBLE
