I see that there is an app that you can install on your phone where you can pay some tolls on some of the tolled facilities in the country.

https://www.uproad.com/

I see Boston area participates in it with the Tobin Bridge and Tunnels to East Boston.
Every day is a winding road, you just got to get used to it.

Oh goody.  Another app throwing pop-up messages at drivers.  After all, drivers don't have enough distractions, let's add more.  Toll points are invisible, aren't they? [end of sarcasm]

I'd rather have a transponder.  At least in Massachusetts, they're free and they don't distract you.

Do Uproad accounts get charged the in-state rate, the out-of-state rate or the no-tag rate?

The Up Road coverage map seems to include as "fully covered" (toll alert and payment) some states that don't have any toll roads, lanes, or bridges, such as Wisconsin and both Dakotas (unless you count national or state park entry fees, which I'd bet Up Road wouldn't cover anyway). How convenient! [/s]

I'll take a hard pass on this one.
