This is a really neat new signal that is being installed now in Cambridge MA. https://www.cambridgema.gov/-/media/Files/publicworksdepartment/Engineering/cityprojects/inmansquare/inmansq_ifb_compiledplans.pdf (page 80/81 for plans).

This signal includes 8" and 4" bicycle signals, with all sorts of unique phasing. A transit signal has been planned, and a right turn FYA doghouse. The timing is quite unique as well. One thing I was confused by was the specification for a cowbell tone for the audible pedestrian signal. Guess I'll see what happens when they're activated !

Very unique...

It would be nice if they went from Red to Red-Yellow and then to Green.


We have signals proposed at the US-13/US-264 ALT and Frog level intersection, but it would most likely be a normal design rather than that unique design you listed above.

Plans look like they will be using bike boxes and two stage bike turn boxes as well. Love seeing those!

Protected intersections and bicycle signals are used as well ! I love the 4"  bike signals
