Google Maps doesn't have a good shot of this (I nabbed a portrait myself while I was driving by from out of the desert), but a nice cats-eye button copy sign sitting unmolested on a side street.

I love this little sign. I don't frequent the area, but it seems to be effective at keeping traffic moving.

It looks like the other three directions have STOP signs? That works.

I guess it's OK, since it appears to be a relatively quiet corner, but generally a 3-way stop, where one direction does not stop at all, can be quite confusing for traffic.  The situation is probably a concession to the nearby railroad crossing, so that cars won't stop on the tracks.

I'm intrigued that they used a custom arrow graphic (which appears to favor the left turn) instead of just a standard three-headed lane assignment arrow. But a nice little sign given the context.

I build roads on Minecraft. Like, really good roads.
Interstates traveled:

I like this:

I've seen signs like this. I believe the last one I saw was in Brooklyn or Queens back in the early 2000's but it was a warning sign (yellow on black) and without the words. Nice find!

That is lovely. Looks like a crypt, though!

Can't find an exact source, but they seem like 1920s vintage. Might be the oldest posted route signs still in place, although the denoted routes have moved slightly (WI 33 is still along the route and "WIS 12" is now a US 12 Business route.) It looks like street names are on the bottom but I can't read them too well, and the L and R denote directions.

Finding a group of button copy signage in Calgary earlier this month was a pleasant surprise.

^ Love the sideways “prepare to stop” sign. I wish places in the US with horizontal signals did that.

GSV doesn't have the greatest shot of this, but here's some old county road shields. Catt. Co. phased these out in the early 90s, but as you can see, a few still remain at quiet rural intersections.

Found an old Wisconsin 83 shield a few months back:

^^v Was in in Waukesha County?  They still use the old specs for junction signs.

Yes, but it's the only one I found in my last few visits.

I have seen this one a couple of times:

5600 S Hwy 191
https://maps.app.goo.gl/S8LxBgU8j8GWxxD18

Now, this looks like an ordinary Billboard to most, but the actual structure that holds the shape of the vinyl sign is an honest to goodness RETIRED BGS!!!

This is facing northbound traffic on US-191 a few miles south of Moab.  As of today, the top center of the billboard is sagging just enough to reveal all the red and a sliver of the blue crown of an (3di???) Interstate shield and what looks like a top of a NORTH direction to the right of it.

Now the Moab Mystery:  Where did it come from and does this sign company use others in the wild?

Anybody else see this sign in person?  More importantly, who wants to go take a peek under the vinyl???

Funny thing is one of the southbound views has the backside of the old BGS blurred out so that we can't peak.  The next one doesn't.  Perhaps someone doesn't want us to know something.

Unfortunately, it's not that old, at least in its current location. It appeared sometime between November 2018 and May 2021, per GSV history.

What's really interesting though is it appears to be a wood-backed BGS reminiscent of what they installed in the early 2000s. Utah hasn't installed much if any in the way of wooden signs in the last 15 years, so there's a very good chance that sign is a transplant from somewhere else. I'd love to find out what's on it.
