I took a trip this last long weekend - approximately I-15 from San Diego to US-50 in Utah, then west, up 395, across the Sierras, and down I-5 from Mount Shasta.

here is the first batch.

Awesome pix!  I was particularly glad you made the turn down US 93 to snap the cutout route marker there.  I saw it in August 2008, but was too far down the road (and too short on time) when I realized it was unique and I should've taken a snap.

I didn't see any other such cutouts on US 93 south of US 50.  I don't know about the part of US 93 in Nevada north of US 50, which I've never driven.

I have a much better photo of the US-93 cutout from September 2006, in daylight.

too bad they kinda botched the font: it's Series C stretched to D width.

I do not believe there are others - the project that resulted in the cutouts was a resigning just of Majors Junction.  At some point there were also US 6 and US 50 cutouts, as well as green signs with California-style double-border US shields, like this one.

that sign, btw, is gone as well.  Lame!  The only remnant of this resigning project, from 2005 or so, is the US-93 cutout.

Great pics! US-50 through NV is definitely one of my favorite stretches of road. Did you get a chance to see the gigantic cattle crossing sign? (it's got to be about 6' by 6').
