OK, I think I may have gotten the hang of this now.

From Peoria, you can take US 150 to Perryville, Ky.

I-95 from Perryville, MD to Miami, FL

(yeah, I did choose this just because I thought it would be fun to feature a destination several states away from the photo)

US 209 will take you to Ellenville, even if New York gets the signage wrong.

From Fishkill, we can take US 9 south through NYC and New Jersey and across the ferry to Lewes, Del.

So the game doesn't really work when you play cities that only have one route going through them.  As usual, I can't tell if you're trolling or just ignorant.

There's no rule against playing the same route, in this case, US 9 again, so we'd be able to go to smaller places once in a while and still have a way back out.  What we need to avoid is a tiny route from one small place to another, where the only hope is to go directly back where you came from.

Plus we are able to use places in other jurisdictions with the same name, which also helps.  Hoping to use that rule to jump to Canada at some point, though we'll probably need the TCH go get to Quebec since their place names are in French.

Some VT/QC routes keep their number over the border.
Clinched, minus I-93 (I'm missing a few miles and my file is incorrect)

Traveled, plus US 13, 44, and 50, and several state routes

I will be in Burlington VT for the eclipse.

Neither. Someone can play DE 1 to go either north or south. Or DE 24 to get to Millsboro. Lewes is served by both of those routes.

What do people think about allowing place substitutions allowing for local language to add some flexibility to bounce internationally?  St. Peter could become Saint Pierre in a French-speaking area or San Pedro in a Spanish-speaking area.

I suppose this gets to the question of "are VT 225 and QC 225 classified as the same route because they have the same number even though one is a Vermont state route and the other is a Québec provincial route".  I personally take a strict interpretation... and the opportunity is limited anyways.

Meanwhile, if someone wanted to use Lewes to jump to the UK, now is the time.

Wait, how did we get to a Dover?

That was me.  I didn't realize I had to wait a few minutes for my 24 hours to be up (EDIT though now re-reading the rules I guess it's okay as long as I'm not posting consecutively?), so I was waiting.  I think I'm good now.

So yeah, DE-1 Dover.

Reposting.

Dover NH to Newton NH via NH 108 (MA 108 is part of the same route)

Note: The only route that passes through Newton NH is NH 108. Unless you use MA/NH 108 again, you will have to use another Newton.

OK, good.  That's right that you can post as often as you like as long as you don't go twice in a row.  To go twice in a row, wait a day.
