What roads are at risk of damage requiring long term closure?

Do we think this will add impetus for widening I-275/I-4 through Tampa?

The Howard Frankland Bridge. Again!

Every time a storm surge comes it washes out the causeway approaches.

There is definitely a substantial difference between how Florida road people handle hurricane damage versus a lot of other states.

The next major improvement project for I-4 between Tampa and Reunion will probably occur when Brightline wants to start construction.  I haven't seen any official details, but all of the legislation, bidding and approvals for use of the HSR corridor that runs inside the median of I-4 assumes modification of I-4 in many places.

The south has really been rocked by hurricanes lately, hasn't it. Hope that everyone over there is safe and has power. Pretty scary that Milton washed out a section of US 17 and US 92. This will probably back up traffic on I-4 even more than it already is as well.

Why isn't this the revised termination point of US 221 now that it's been removed from Downtown Perry?

Right now a concurrency with US 19 & 27 and US 27 exist where US 221 is still along its last mile to its always terminus.

The overlap on US 27 serves no purpose and was a waste of adding shields.  This intersection should be the southern terminus of US 221. The part of US 221 between its present terminus and US 27 ( where it begins it's overlap) should become FL 55 ( which is its state route number anyway) or turned over to the city as well.

I'm trying to figure this out myself... maybe the city-owned portion could be renamed to "Hwy 55" or something, so that way the change in ownership doesn't cause an effective discontinuity? Just a thought

CR 54 is now signed from CR 547. All shields had been removed in the 2000s when it was renamed after Bigoted Buttbaby.

While I do agree with you, probably shouldn't continue this discussion further since it involves politics.

When is the I-395/I-95 intersection supposed to be finished?

Another intersection gets modernized.

The former gantries with control cities along US 27-301-441 at State Road 40 gets replaced with cantilevered assembly without destinations and another classic span wire signal gone.

No, it's just Apple (or whatever you're using) misinterpreting it as a phone number.
