According to that link, the news is now un-broken. Both WB lanes have re-opened already.
I don't regularly use the bridge or follow its news, but closures of this kind seem not extraordinary (usually an accident is the culprit). They cause a lot of temporary pain, especially on summer weekends. But if necessary one of the two lanes on the EB span can be shifted to WB traffic, as is done routinely for major maintenance on the WB span.
